Canadian Whisky Book Wins Gold
Twitter was alive this morning with the news that Canadian Whisky: The Portable Expert has been selected as the Wine, Beer, or Spirits book of 2012 by the International Association of Culinary Professionals. The prize was announced at an awards ceremony held last night in San Francisco. My friend and fellow Malt Maniac, Tim Puett accepted the award on my behalf. Many thanks to you, Tim, and to all those who have been sending me messages of congratulations. I am very, very happy. At the presentation ceremony Tim thanked my wife and family for their support, my editor, Philip Rappaport, agent, Denise Bukowski, and all the folks at Random House - Doug Pepper, Bhavna Chauhan, Josh Glover, Randy Chan, Lindsey Reeder and so many others.Thank you as well to Jane Cameron, Kevin Burns, Ted Britton, Lawrence Graham, Mark Gillespie, Johanne McInnis, Emmett Hossack, Andrew Ferguson, David Cheoros, Jennifer Cockrall-King, John Greenwell, and all the folks who have worked so hard to get the word out that the book was available. And a huge thank you to Brita Belliveau and Pamela Peddle at Chapters.
