The debut issue of the world’s first all drinks, fully interactive publication, is now available on line in iTunes > Newsstand > Cooking, Food+Drink. I am pleased to say that I had a small hand in the launch issue. Büze Magazine targets the iPad and iPad Mini platforms, with Kindle Fire HD to be added for Issue #2.Büze Magazine focuses on the global craft beer, artisanal spirits, mixology, and foodie movements which when combined, create an enhanced drinks lifestyle – a lifestyle that embraces natural, organic and eco-friendly while producing a dizzying array of amazing drinks to accompany our most memorable moments. BÜZE brings those moments to life on the electronic page – from the hard work and complex science behind the creation of the beverages, to the events, the meals and the occasions when we enjoy them. The publication boasts an international roster of award-winning drinks writers like Stephen Beaumont, Ridley & Harrison, Melissa Cole, Davin de Kergommaux, Des de Moor, Nicholas Gilman, Craig Pinhey and Mirella Amato, as well as exciting new talent, to provide consistently entertaining and compelling editorial content. The fully interactive aspect allows the publication to further immerse the reader/viewer into a visual and audio experience that simply cannot be attained by ink on paper. Just a few of the enriched content elements include:• on-page videos• fade up text boxes• pop-up sidebars• music and audio accompaniment to editorial pages (and ads)• foto galleries and slide shows• hyperlinks to related content websites, blogs, etc.Büze Magazine uses Adobe’s Digtal Publishing Suite, the same software employed by GQ, Wired, Martha Stewart Living, etc. for their digital issues. This versatile software allows customization of its interactive options, a feature that the Büze tech team has accessed to further enhance the Büze experience. Here is a link into the iTunes Store and directly to Büze Magazine, for those who would like to download and see a free preview on their iPad:https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/buze-magazine/id570210741?ls=1&mt=8The following link to the Büze Facebook page contains a video tour of the debut issue (scroll down a little on the right side), including some Navigation tips:https://www.facebook.com/BuzeMagazineBüze Magazine combines the design and editorial talents of Cary Hyodo, formerly of Taps The Beer Magazine; and MassiveNUmedia, a Toronto-based tech company whose web development services have been used by companies as diverse as Bell Canada, Sony BMG and Johnson & Johnson.
